The story of Mark Rubin and his journey to America is an incredible one, and worth the google search to better understand. Immigrating from war torn Czechoslovakia at the age of 11, Mark's family arrived in New York for a new start. Five years later, the family moved west to California where he took a job as a construction laborer. From that humble start, and through hard work and tenacity, he built a career in real estate and property development that culminated in the establishment of his Beverly Hills company, Regional Properties, Inc. Rubin’s connection to Riverside began in the 1960s, when he began developing agricultural land into residences, offices, and shopping centers. That connection was strengthened over the years by an impressively long list of community service projects and philanthropic work. When Clear Sign was presented the opportunity to partner with Michelle and the rest of the Rubin family to bring this project to life, we jumped at the opportunity to create something special. More than just another apartment building, The Mark project breathed new life into a historical block in downtown Riverside. Preserving much of the original facade, we expanded the core to include 167 luxury units and a long list of amenities. The Mark was the culmination of Mr Rubin's legacy and one of our all time favorite design build projects.
